normally these don't go bad unless you have a water leak around the windshield and the water runs down to the GEM Module. get the Ford part number from yours and do a search on ebay with that part number. 2WD and 4WD may be different? 97-98 should be the same depending on 2WD or 4WD? READ descriptions carefully and ask questions to seller to be sure it's the correct one for your vehicle....
