What is your question?
Engine looses power at any speed. Generally happens at a cruise but has happend durning acceleration. If you hold the accelerator at the same position the vehical will slow to almost a stop. engine RPM will almost be at idile. To recover simply release the accelerator re-apply power. The problem may reappear in a few seconds to months. It seems to be aggravated by heavy tow loads. Also the instant this power loss happens the glow plug indicater lamp comes on for just a second. all other guages and indicators are normal.

I could probably write an entire article (and probably should...) about the 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel and the potential problems you may experience. The areas I would focus on for your truck are: 1) are there any coolant leaks - internal engine or otherwise? Check the cooling system for sludge build up. You may have an EGR and/or Oil cooler leaking coolant. 2) Is the EGR system and turbo coked up to the point of extreme power loss? Based on re-tip in of the throttle making some difference, it seems like there may be a problem with the turbo vanes binding, not allowing the variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) solenoid to operate properly. 3) Is the fuel injector control module (FICM) operating properly? Some FICM's have a problem internally with a circuit board, and can cause rough running or low power. 4) You may have a fuel injection system issue, high pressure oil system issue, injector control pressure issue. Sure, there could be a glow plug harness issue too, but I would not concentrate on that light coming on too much off the top. The best thing you can do is find a local Power Stroke 6.0L specialist. There are some out there to be sure. I know several good ones personally - people who "get" the theory and operation on this engine. They are all stars when it comes to fixing them. Good luck!
Dave, Thanks for the information. The engine has been checked by Ford Dealer and all the thing you mentioned above have been checked except for the (FICM). I haven't heard that one yet. I'll have it checked out. Just seems so odd that there is no error codes that would explain whats going on with this vehicle. Thank again, Dennis
