wheni get out and turn ing.off radio stays on when door is opened and dome ,running lights don't come on
What makes this problem better or worse?
just started to happen after battery change,tried bat disconnect same thing ,ing. switch mabey?

Hello, This sounds like a bad door switch. Each door has a switch or sensor which detects when the door is opened. If the switch has failed, your symptoms would be replicated. In fact, the radio would shut off after 15-30 minutes, depending on the program set by the manufacturer. The other possibility is that the wiring harness for the door has decayed and cracked over time. This happens as a result of opening and closing the door for years, since the wires have to bend twice every time the door is opened and closed. I would inspect the harness first to ensure power is getting to the door switch, then test the door switch for operation.
where is door switch located, i don't see one, wiring harness looks fine without taking door off, hard to say about wires inside it, would ingnition switch cause this.
Hello, The door switch is inside the door. To locate it more easily, google a picture of the part, and look at the far left-bottom of the door (if driver) once the panel is removed. The ignition is possible, but I would expect the dome light to come on when the door is opened, even if the ignition is still on.
