Unable to get out of park. Brake lights work. Any suggestions.

To the upper right of the shifter is a cap. Remove it and you can stick a small screwdriver it to release the shift lever. Mine had become stuck from too many spilled coffee cups. I needed to remove the center console and clean out the sticky parts. Haven't had any problems since. Look at youtube for videos on removing the console.
