Three things. Oil level a few inches above maximum; runs noisy, but always starts right up and inspite of noise, idles well. Noise isnot as loud inside the car. I hear no rods knocking. I think it's body noise, maybe a motor mount? Fan, heater, air do not

First, the reason for the oil level being so much higher than it should be needs to be determined before major engine damage occurs. It could be someone overfilled it, water could be leaking into the oil, or fuel may be leaking down into the engine oil. The noise issue could be as simple as a damaged or mis-aligned engine mount causing excessive vibrations.
