transmission downshifts hard when cold 2018 ford escape

What is your question?

when the truck is first used in the morning it downshifts hard when I apply the brakes. It almost feels that I am going from 4th gear to 1st without going through 3 and 2 smoothly. The rest of the day the transmission works normally.

when vehicle is first used after sitting all night
