Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Escape. It sounds like you have a blown inline fuse interrupting the power to your electrical system. These inline fuses are often referred to as fusible links. When you visit or call the parts store, let them know you need the main fusible link for the alternator. They should know what you're talking about! After replacement, be sure to check the wiring condition around the fuse. Blown fuses can indicate a short circuit or other electrical issues. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
