What is your question?
When I start my 2010 Ford Escape, I hear a chirping noise. But after I start driving it goes away. Could it be that I need to have the serpentine belt replaced?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It stops chirping as I start driving and the engine warms up.
How long has your 2010 Ford Escape had this problem?
About a week.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. The chirping noise you're hearing when starting your Escape could very likely be due to a worn or loose serpentine belt especially since the noise goes away as the engine warms up. It's also possible that one of the belt tensioners or pulleys is wearing out, which can also create a similar sound when the belt moves across it. Having the belt inspected for wear and ensuring the tension is correct can help resolve the issue. If the belt looks glazed or cracked, replacing it may solve the problem.
