Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The misunderstanding here is that there is an assumption that the warning light indicates low oil level. In fact, I believe the warning light indicates a concern of low oil pressure. This is a big difference, of course, and requires attention to determine if the oil pressure is actually low, or if there could be a concern with the oil pressure sensor itself or the related circuit. Hands on testing including attaching a manual gauge to the engine to determine actual oil pressure readings is needed. If pressure is verified to be in an acceptable range, then the sensor itself could be faulty - or the wiring. If the actual pressure is low, then there is an internal engine oil system concern that will require additional troubleshooting. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
