how to get 2008 ford escape 2.3L engine coolant outlet box by thermostat to seal? unbolted outlet housing, replaced blown seal with oem "D" seal, rebolted, and leaks profusely at block face. unbolted outlet housing, replaced oem seal with oem "D" seal with third party full gasket with built-in "D" seal, rebolted, and still leaks profusely at block face. No sign of flexible sealant during original tear down. don't have torque specs.
What makes this problem better or worse?
developed coolant leak, blown coolant outlet seal. replaced with oem seal. not water tite now.
