Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! We have to get that sunroof back on track before the summer! See what I did there? There could be an issue with the sunroof's tracks or gears. The grinding sound suggests that there may be a problem with the mechanism that moves the sunroof. Debris or dirt may have built up in the tracks, causing the sunroof to jam and produce a grinding noise. Sunroofs are no joke and can be difficult to work on so if you feel like you don't want to deal with the headache of diagnosing it, give us a call and we can help you find a certified shop in your area that can help! If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554! We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area!
