Engine swap with a 2009

What is your question?

I have a friend who smoked her engine. She has a 2005 Escape with the 2.3 4 banger. We found a good used engine from a 2009, which is the 2.5L. Does anyone know if this would fit? Engine and trans are included and they look very much the same. Here's hoping for an easy drop in swap. Thanks. PS-Sorry for the duplicate post. This newest one is tied to my e-mail.
