When driving what would cause all dash guages ( Speedometer, rpm, fuel. ect to peak out then drop to zero for a few second then return to operating position?

If in the process the motor is missing when doing this have it put on a computer at part store, mine did that when cylinders where missin needed new coils on almost all so just replaced all of em
