There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual. try http://bit.ly/Mitchell_DIY_Repair_Manuals and get an online repair manual subscription.
You have to take half of the passenger side of the car apart. I just finished today. I am an experianced DIY mechanic. 0 Remove battery 1 Remove tire 2 remove Strut from spindle (at the bottom only otherwise you will have to get car realigned) 3 separate lower ball joint 4 remove tie rod link (do not turn or will lose adjustment for alignment) 5 remove plastic covers from wheel well 6 pull out pass side axel 7 disconnect alternator wiring 8 Unbolt alternator (3 bolts) 9 Unbolt Alternator bracket ( 3 bolts) 10 remove alt through fenderwell took about 5 hrs total for me worked on many cars never had this big of a pain. This was my first for this car. 3.5 hrs to remove and 1.5 to install.
