My mother has a Ford Escape V6 and it misfires at around 50 mph any ideas?

The check engine light is on and it just stays on. Her high beam doesn't work and I've changed bulbs fuses and ohms metered to the switch and I can't find anything wrong

Get the check engine light read for free at an Autozone and post results to further assist you. Wait Autozone won't do that in CA.....need read from a garage or anyone you know with an OBDII reader or buy one....About the high beam, possible loose ground? I would have to see to know for sure....
