What is your question?
I was at the carwash and left the vehicle running while spraying the car. As I was getting back in the car, the engine shut off and I couldn't get it started again. I popped the hood and could smell something melting but didn't see anything. Several men came over to help me but nobody could figure out what happened. We tried jumping the battery, checked fuses, made sure the starter was getting power, one guy said that the alternator looked new and I'm sure other things were tried that I didn't see. I had to have the vehicle towed to my house but since nobody knows what's wrong I would have to pay another tow bill just to get it to a shop for them to look at it then if I can't afford the repair I would have to pay another tow bill to get it home again. If I can get help figuring out what is wrong then I may not have to spend so much money. I don't know if it's relevant but the same day it happened I just got the car back from the shop having the ball joints replaced and they checked the oil and said it was fine. Please help.

Did you happen to spray water under the hood at all? If not, you will have to test from the basics - is there fuel? Is there spark?
I didn't open the hood and spray but I did spray the tire wells. A man checked the starter with a screwdriver and it sparked but the vehicle still wouldn't even try to turnover. The gas tank was almost full, I had just filled up.
