What is your question?
It's been doing this more frequently now. Last year, it only happened during cold weather, now it happens even when it's warm. The engine stalls easily and I have to restart it.

Rough running/quitting is either due to computer strategy issues (programming), a lack of fuel or air, or an abundance of fuel or air. In some cases, there are revised calibrations for the engine's processor that can improve cases like yours. You will need to consult a dealership to have them hook up the engine's computer to Ford's diagnostic tool and then have them check for software updates. Beyond that, you could have a sticking idle air control valve, a vacuum leak around the engine or an unmetered air leak (like an air box or air tube that is broken, cracked, leaking). Good luck!
The last time I had the car in, I asked about the idle air control valve, as I had "googled" the symptoms online before and someone mentioned that as a possible problem. So, the mechanic lubed the valve, but it didn't help the problem. I've also seen a response about this possible being related to the intake manifold gaskets. I'm almost afraid to take it in to the dealer, as they traditionally over charge on everything.
You can't really "lube" the Idle Air Control Valve. I know the frustration many folks have with a dealership (it's what I do...), but believe me when I say there's a difference between facilities. It's all about relationships - hopefully you arrive at a dealer and can develop a good working relationship with an advisor. This can help even with the bill as you proceed through your visit. Dealerships are the only game in town when it comes to factory software updates. Not saying at all for sure this is what you need, but it could help. Intake manifold gaskets...well, I think you would have a check engine light if they were leaking vacuum causing an issue. The computer would sense that leak and suggest the vehicle is running "lean" on fuel, and will attempt to overcompensate with additional fuel, but never enough. So I think the gaskets are not likely to be the problem. Good luck!
this could very well be the problem. leaking intake manifold gaskets. i replaced them on my mazda and it runs great
