What is your question?
Had oil change and shop stated needed brake front pads and rotors 3/32. No screeching or grinding, no burning smell, brakes seem to be working fine. Does the work need to be done immediately? And on Ford 2001 Escape does it have different kind of brakes on rear.

Hello, 3/32 of an inch is just above 2 millimeters -- a very very small amount indeed. The shop is giving you early warning -- the pads will wear out sooner than later, but it's not like -- tomorrow. I'd give it weeks or a few months depending on driving habits and area of operation. Consider that changing your brakes sooner than later can save you money on additional components you may end up needing should the brake pads go metal on metal. A 2001 Ford Escape has rear drum brakes and front disc brakes. So yes, they are different.
