What is your question?
My car has codes p0012 p0022 and is pending codes p0014 p0024 p0300 p0304 p0306. All of this happened after it died and the low engine oil pressure light come on very briefly. The oil was not low. I had it towed home. It starts and runs a little bit rough. Is it likely timing chain?
What makes this problem better or worse?
I parked it and have not done anything with it since because I'm scared
How long has your 2014 Ford Edge had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Those trouble codes are quite the party, but it's definitely one you'd want to end quickly. The P0012 and P0022 codes point to issues with the camshaft timing, specifically the camshaft timing being over-retarded for banks 1 and 2. When you throw in the other pending codes (P0014, P0024, P0300, P0304, P0306), it starts sounding like a timing chain issue or a problem with the variable valve timing (VVT) system. The rough running and that brief "low engine oil pressure" light could indicate the timing chain has stretched or skipped a tooth, throwing off the engine's timing. Given how critical the timing chain is to engine operation, it's smart to avoid driving it until you get this checked out. A mechanic will likely need to inspect the timing components and VVT system to see if the timing chain needs replacing or if there's another underlying issue. Better safe than sorry with something like this. If you need any further advice or if you'd like any help finding a trusted RepairPal shop in your area, please feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
