What is your question?
The orange door ajar light is always on even though all the doors are completely shut. This makes the dome lights stay on for long periods of time too when the car is shut off, which then is wearing down the battery. What should I do?
How long has your 2013 Ford Edge had this problem?
for quite awhile

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! The persistent door-ajar light on your 2013 Ford Edge is a common quirk tied to the door latch sensor. These sensors, built into the latch mechanism, can stick or fail over time, tricking the system into thinking a door is open when it’s not. Along with keeping the dome lights on, it can drain your battery or even prevent the doors from locking properly. Start by spraying some electronic-safe lubricant like WD-40 into the door latch area while working the door open and shut it a few times. This can free up a sticky sensor. If that doesn’t fix it, the latch assembly itself may need replacing. A scan tool can confirm which door is causing the issue. Since this problem is so well-known, a trusted shop familiar with Ford can likely fix it quickly.
