Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If the headlights are turning off while driving your Edge, it could be due to a failing headlight relay, faulty wiring, or a problem with the headlight switch itself. Since the lights come back on when you toggle them, it suggests an intermittent electrical issue. Sometimes, loose connections or corroded terminals can cause this type of problem, so it's worth having the wiring and connections to the headlights checked for any signs of damage or wear. This condition can also occur if both headlight bulb filaments are near the end of their life. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
