What is your question?
Brakes appear to go to the floor before stopping with not much play. I replaced all brakes, rotors, flushed system at Ford Dealership that I trust in the last year. Never a problem until 1 month ago a vehicle stopped in front of me and I literally stood up on my seat slamming on the brakes stopping inches from the vehicle. About a week later my brakes feel like something was damaged. They don't appear to have the play they did before the incident. I pump the brakes is all I know. A local auto shop checked my fluid levels and placed the vehicle in "D" and used brake. Then he placed in park and pressed brake several times and stated he felt if was fine. Is it in my mind? I still feel like the vehicle has no play and goes to a hard floor feeling. And I would hate to have to repeat slamming on the brakes again and needing to stop immediately. Any thoughts please?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Simply stepping on the brakes. Hope this is my imagination. Can't be the relatively new brakes I don't think

Hello, I can understand your apprehension driving and being concerned about being able to brake safely! You know your vehicle best, and you know when something isn't the way it's always been. As a result, I'd recommend you return back to that Ford dealership to have them drive the vehicle and replicate the concern you are having. Hopefully you can make it happen so they can experience it. Many things can cause brakes to not work as you'd expect, such as air in the lines, brake pad and rotor material and mating surfaces in question, anti-lock braking system issues. Being a safety issue, I'd just recommend you have this addressed sooner than later.
