My 07 Ford Edge shifts hard back and forth in slow traffic like it is missing?

My vehicle has 130000 miles on it. I replaced all the plugs and coils. It still feels like it misses. I get no service codes. Could this be transmission or is this normal for the Edge? It happens in slow traffic but will do it occasionally when cruising on the freeway. I have had the vehicle for a year and it has been doing this for at least 6 months. Could it be a shift solenoid? I had a similar problem on a 1992 F150 and it was the EGR valve, could this be it? I know technology has improved since then so I am not sure where to start.
