What does Vin Engine code G stand for?

What is your question?

I am looking at a van that is going up for auction in another state; they don't say what it has for an engine, but did give the Vin#. The eighth position is "G" so I would just like to know, is this the V-6 engine?

For 1992 engine vin code G - I come up with > 7.5L - 460 cu in V/8 engine.
