What is your question?
I recently bought a 2010 Ford E250 cargo van. The title says gasoline but it runs on CNG currently which I think the previous owner converted it to. I'd like to know my best course of action for returning it back to gasoline? Should I look into a conversion kit or are they too expensive and not worth it? Should I instead look for a used gasoline engine and just swap it out? If I look at swapping the engine, does it have to be from the same exact year make and model or is there flexibility on that? Thank you for any help in advance

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. To convert your E-250 back to gasoline, your best bet would be to find information on the installed CNG kit. Once you find what is included in the kit, you can determine what original parts were removed or modified. If it becomes cost-prohibitive to convert the van back to gasoline, swapping in a compatible engine may be the best course of action. It might be wise to consult with a local mechanic experienced in such conversions to determine the most cost-effective and practical solution for your situation.
