sparkplug blew out on no. 3 cylinder. What are repair options and estimates
What is your question?
are these the options:
1>new insert without removing head but "gluing"
2. new insert removing head for better access and fix
3> replace the head
4 replace the engine

Don't really understand what you mean by 'glue' , but if that simply means shoving the plug in there with JB weld , then NO!!!. I'm not sure about 'e of access' to that plug position on a ford, but I know on a Honda (sorry , that's all I got for reference) we can 'heli-coil' it and in some cases , I know in our area , there are some machine shops that will do the drill and tap/insert with the head in the car. E-Bay or amazon , you might find complete kits for vehicle specific applications.
thanks for the reply. any thoughts on costs for the different options. Any experience with the "glue" option?
