shimmy shakes when braking , more at high speeds than low speeds

Brake rotors and/or drums (if equipped) seem to be out of round. Have the rotors/drums resurfaced, replace brake pads/shoes or sand them a bit to create a good burnishing surface if the pads/shoes are still good.
