I have to keep foot on gas pedal. Once car is warmed up... it starts fine for the rest of the day. It's worse in cold weather.
Thanks, that is what I needed to know! Much appreciate it. My wife was sad when she found out that they are no longer making the Crown Vic.
Yeah it's a shame can't get a real 'full size' rear wheel drive car with a frame under it anymore! .. Most of the younger folks ain't never rode in one.. I reckon we been spoiled... Good luck with yours!
Thanks for responding. Sounds like the best option is to take it in. Hoping that repair is less than $200. Retired and fixed income. Really like the car and hope to keep it for a few more years.
Find a buddy with a descent code reader that has live sensor data .. Hook it up BEFORE engine is started after sitting overnight .. Turn key on but do not start engine .. look at the CTS reading .. IF it is not the same as your outdoor thermometer, replace the coolant temperature sensor! .. CTS is responsible for fuel enrichment at colder temperatures, much like the choke was on the older carbureted engines... That Crown Vic should last you a good while, they pretty good vehicles!
