think cars getting to point it wants to over heat but doesn,t ??

can any one tell me why my car gets close to over heating but does not get there but almost wants to but i,m confused with it getting close to it could it be my thermostat being faulty i did replace it and the temp sensor or do think i need to flush it out and see if that will work,s i talked to a shop he told me that could be it if not to replace the hole radaitor and that might fix it i don,t want fix what i don,t need to any one got any tips to try any thing helps thanks
