What causes my 95 v6 ford contour to (hum) when I start it it last for 10 sec...

10 sec. or more than stop and as I'm driving it'll come back (the HUMMING) stay while driving for 5 min. it's seems to be get worst. It sounds like the sound is on the driver side . what could cause the humming? Sincerely Humming Along!
