Vehicle non start a month ago. Engine cranks good. My brother owns the car and good mechanic ability. Took to Firestone to estimate problem and cost. Already replaced distributor, solnenod, plugs, wires, coils, ECR, timing. We were charged by Firestone for replacement parts. Still no start. Towed back to house. Still has strong gas fumes coming from engine exhaust on top of engine. Strong vapor. Vapor would not pull out only in.

Has anyone checked engine compression? Silly as it seems -- this vehicle has a timing belt. Has anyone checked to see if the belt is intact? If timing is proper?
It does not appear that anyone with diagnostic skills for a 1997 Ford (Kia) vehicle has been looking at your car. You'll need to get a skilled tech to help out. Disappointing that a Firestone store would not be more resourceful and helpful after selling you so much work. I'd probably pursue that also.
