Hello, I can't imagine a reason to replace this module unless it is physically damaged. Are you equipped with a diagnostic tool to properly program this part, as well as the keys once replaced? Further, the engine processor typically has extended warranty coverage; see your dealership for more information should it need replaced for some odd reason. As for location, it is attached to the battery tray.
