Hello, These codes are all diagnostic aids in finding a bad tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor. The code C1001 describes an internal failure of the TPMS system, most commonly a bad tire pressure sensor. The individual sensors fail fairly commonly because they live inside the tire, and are subject to all the abuse of the road. You can find out which one yourself by deflating, waiting 2 minutes, inflating your tires one by one until you find the one that does not set off the TMPS warning on your dashboard, but any good tire shop will be able to read the data and see which one is bad. You'll need to visit one either way since the tire must be removed to replace the bad sensor. You may, however, be better off taking the vehicle to a full-service repair facility instead of a tire shop in case the fault is a more serious component.
Appreciate your help but I don't have tyre sensors in my car. Thanks.
No problem, in this case you have a fault in the power steering. The code C1001 could be an external sensor, the control module senses a fault in the power sterring unit, or there could be an internal sensor fault. You'll need a good repair faciltity to help you out with this one.
