Car jerks and spudders when trying to accelerate

There are too many possibilities to even guess what is causing this jerks and spudders concern. It sounds like it would have been a lot cheaper to have the car properly diagnosed up front than to throw parts at it. It may be harder to test now if cheaper aftermarket parts have been installed on the car and if other items were disturbed during these repairs.
