Exhaust making sound like leaking

When my engine is running and in drive the exhaust near the engine sounds like there is a leak. It only sounds like this when vehicle is in drive. Usually if there is a hole the sound is there all the time. It seems to be somewhere under the drivers area around where the converter is. Could this be a problem in the converter or just a small hole somewhere?
