after driving for a short period the RPM start to go up and down and sometimes is really hard to start the engine again.the mechanic replace the fuel pump and the distribuitor.

You really need a shop to retrieve the Check Engine Light code, even if the Light is not on, there can/will be a code. or guessing will make you poorer and poorer. Most often the thing I look for with this symptom in this type of vehicle is a defective Crank Sensor, very very common on this car. here is a link to an article that explains what the light really means. http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light
HOOK UP A SCANNER AND CHECK FOR CODES ALSO LOOK AT LONG TERM FUEL TRIM ON THE SCANNER
