What is your question?
I went to get into my car and it was dead The lights worked at 1st and so didn't the windshield wipers. But now those don't work the car will jump start But won't hold a charge on the battery the battery is new and only 3 months old. My car was idling down and dying when I would pull into a parking space or at a fast food drive through restaurant. What do you think it could be?
What makes this problem better or worse?
won't start
How long has your 1997 Dodge Stratus had this problem?

Hello, anything I suggest will be a total wild guess. I would start by checking and verifying that your battery is able to hold a full charge and can handle a load. If this is verified, then I would move to your vehicle's charging system. If the charging system is not providing the proper output, then it will be impossible to maintain the proper state of charge for the battery -- which can lead to these kinds of electrical concerns. This is merely a place to start looking. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
So what they found out was a blown fuse now he wants to find out why the fuse blew all wires are fine I just think it blew when they jumped started it . it is holding a charge so battery is fine and thinking it could be the starter . Update on Update now the check engine lights is on and the transmission won't go out of second gear and the Speedometer is not working they seem to think its another fuse .all these things were ok when I took it in .
