oil leaking out oil filter

tighten the oil filter more

The filter may be loose, or there's some of the old oil filter seal remaining that is causing this leak. Try tightening the filter and if that doesn't help, you'll need to remove the filter to inspect the seal.

sounds like it is not tight or the seal from the old filter stuck to the filter housing.if you still have the old filter check if the o-ring seal is on it,if not drain the oil and remove the filter.
