remove headlight switch from dash

i could not turn off the headlights . the switch will non push in to turn off.. i had to disconnect the battery

Hello, sounds like a concern with your switch itself. Have someone troubleshoot, ut if the switch physically will not move into an off position, it sounds like the switch will need to be replaced.
