no code appears but check engine light is on.

CEL is on,should be one or more codes..who checked for codes?
don't go by the odometer readout,i believe that's what you are talking about..take it to the ZONE,they read em for free and print them out also for you.just don't let them sell you any parts,cause the'll try.
Well, didn't actually check codes with computer but there wasn't any message on dash under mileage. I didn't know if something would show up there like gas cap.
