It may be the cat converter. rare occurrence of transmission fluid finding its way thru the vacuum system leaking by a diaphragm. finding its way into exhaust. Cat cant burn tranny fluid off like it does excess gas, so it clogs up. Had this happen to a ford ranger with year old new converter, no power. converter would get cherry red. Temporarily knocked out guts to converter and problem was gone. later found out about the diaphragm in the vacuum system and replaced it. wish i knew about it before I destroyed the converter.Had to replace that to. Ran like a champ for another 2 years then sold it. Hope this helps, may be your problem too.
use vacuum gauge , monitor manifold vacuum at idle , then 2000RPMs. post results.
i found out it was the turbo pressure switch it ran like a champ again thanks.
