What is your question?
I am looking for thoughts on possible damaged component from overheating. Truck began running rough, pulled over to shoulder and turned OFF. After that, she never started again. I think I understand the basic troubleshooting stuff. What I am seeking is speculation on what could have changed due to overheating that could cause the no-start condition. For example, could the catalytic converter have been effected? Could any of the sensors have been effected? Is there an emergency fuel cut-off switch that could have tripped? All ideas will be of interest to me. Thank you and please feel free to offer intuition, guesses, speculations, etc. Braum.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It overheated. Before that, there was no problem
How long has your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 had this problem?
A few months

Severe overheating can damage engine internally - recommend compression test before proceeding with any subsequent testing.. This is depending upon the severity of overheating - of which I have no idea. Good luck!
‘Cooked’ piston rings have no tension = insufficient compression = no start.. This suggestion is based upon the assumption you have that the present no start condition is directly related to OVERHEATING.
