What's an APPS?

Its what dodge calls their throttle position sensor

Yes we had a problem. The apps/tps is very expensive to purchase because you have to purchase the whole thing. Well this also depends on if your vin is 6 or D. Ours is 6 so we seem to have the truck with the most expensive everything. I purchsed just the sensor from Genos Garage (they have fast shipping also). Our local backyard mechanic put it on for us he charged 40$. You can do it yourself but we were afraid of messing it up. We have a 98 with 282,000 miles it would kick in and out of overdrive and go to a dead pedal but once we fixed the tps it runs great. I hope this helps. They are a lot of complaints about the tps.
