2004 Dodge Ram 1500: Does electronic throttle body need to be programmed after replacing?

The throttle body warning light has come on in my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. It runs very poorly. AutoZone indicated a throttle body code. Replaced throttle body, but still the same problem. Does it need to be programmed?
