4x4 indicator light will not come on

If the system works and you know it's in 4WD, but the light's not on, check the bulb. If the bulb's OK, check for power and ground at the bulb socket. That's the simple stuff, it gets more complicated from there. You may need to go to a 4WD shop or a GM specialist if you run out of ideas. My 2004 Ram 1500 just started having no indicator light either, but the 4WD works fine. The owners manual says nothing about lack of a light being a warning of any sort. There is a separate "SERVICE 4WD" light that warns of a problem. So, I think I am going to ignore the lack of a light.....
