Suspect engine coolant flow restriction - possibly partially clogged radiator... It's difficult to see inside of the radiator!
Before I would spend 250 bucks on a radiator, replace the thermostat. The thermostat controls the engine tempurture by opening when the engine gets to running temp. Usually 180-190 degrees. When it opens it allows water to exit the engine and go back into the radiator. If the thermostat is barely opening, it won't let the water past and it'll just keep heating up. Thermostats will be like 20 bucks and 3 bolts to replace
I reckon you must be thinking the NEW T-Stat that WAS installed is defective.. â–ªï¸004 dodge 1500 3.7 6cy had **water pump thermo** replaced.â–ªï¸runs good around town up Well now I guess that ‘could’ be a possibility... BTW - radiators are no where near 250 bucks! I wouldn’t spend that much on one either - cause Amazon has em for $70.00 !! Nice try though.. Keep up the good work!
