ok--I replaced the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor ) which is the sensor in the rear. ( 3 times ) I have replaced input & output sensor's (2) in the trans. also replaced the abs sensor on left front wheel hub bearing 2-times and my Rbwl-Abwl warning lamps still on--and speedometer still does not work. ANYONE--ANY IDEA'S ???????????
So you've replaced the sensor on top of the rear differential and the RABS still has a problem as well as no speedometer ... Next step is check wiring and connections to the RABS sensor on top of the rear differential... Note that a professional scanner will help make short work of this little glitch!!!
thanks---pushrod. I have a Solus. Will try and check tomorrow. I think it may also b-- a wire problem--closer to the abs Control Module. ( supposedly-these trucks are know for that )Also--am getting "no" communication when trying to check abs system---with Solus... was told --could be a wiring issue at the controller ( by battery box )or Controller--itself. thank you. If SCANNER will communicate with PCM but not ABS... test 'ALL' fuses with a test light next. You're welcome..., Bruce A.
