what is draining my batteries?

on the way there right when i reached about 5 to 6 miles from home going 65 to 75 miles on the freeway, the check gauge light went on. my battery gauge suddenly went from level 14 to 8 and slowly drain my batteries completely.i bought 2 new batteries and had my alternator checked and it passed.but when i drove it again it did the same thing,check gauge went on and drained my batteries. all my cables are tighten, whats causing my batteries to drain?please help,so frustrated.
