Driving down the highway an my truck randomly dies I wait then start up drive 5 miles dies again now won't start luckily I got it started got it to napa then ran codes cam shaft sensor had to be replaced 24 hrs later it's doing the same thing Idk what to do seems like when it's warm it dies...crankshaft sensor? Distributor looks decent getting fuel compression and sometimes fire...I need help fast I'm 4 hrs from home
Thank you I'm leaning towards that also I got one.shot.at this in the a.m. I think I'm gonna do that one
These crank sensors give a right smart of trouble!!... Without testing with a scanner, that's as good a guess as you can make, according to the symptoms!!
Ok so it was the crank shaft sensor even after replacing the cam shaft sensor there like brother u fix one you gota fix the other but the crank sensor was a bitch...worst location of any part on the truck
With A lift, 'long' 3/8 extension and a swivel socket... It gets a lot better!.. Cam sensors rarely fail.!!!
Exactly how i gotr done except the top bolt was a bitch. I got no lift just leveling kit ... but cam sensor went first least the code popped up first
Yeah, that's the way it usually does! However it winds up being the crank sensor!!... Scanner with live data is the only way to go...... As long as it running.... No mater!
