I've been reading other post w/ similar problems Nd ever1 points to PCM box. has any1 bought a refurbished pcm Nd wat luck have they?

Before condemning PCM, strongly suggest wire harness 'wiggle test' .. Wiring harness failures are common on these vehicles.. When engine will not start and no bus is displayed is when testing must be done... IF not familiar with how to test, suggest qualified hands-on help... Once you purchase the PCM it is 'yours' - whether it fixes the truck or not!
tnx pushrod, but done read all the post on wiggle test, removing harness and cleaning connectors etc.etc. I've replaced the crank senor since part was cheap Nd I cld do my self I ordered a refurbished 1 for 4 bill Nd hope that will resolve my probs.
It's quite possible the PCM is the culprit .. Good luck with it!
yep, pcm was the culprit. thank god. found this site that refurbish the pcms ordered Monday note Nd it gitvto me the next morning by 11am. popped it in per there instructions nd and back on the road. now, my next ? is why my dial for my blower speed doesn't work on the the 3rd setting.
